Frédéric Moreau

Captivating audiences with his performances, charisma and incredible virtuosity, Frédéric Moreau is invited to numerous festivals and prestigious concert halls around the world, and has quickly become one of the most prolific French artists of his generation, with more than a hundred solo concerts each year. He has performed as a soloist with many orchestras, including the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Philharmonic of Kyiv and the Île-de-France Philharmonic Orchestra.
A winner of international competitions, he began his solo career at the age of eighteen, after earning unanimous first prizes in violin and chamber music and completing the most selective "soloist" programme at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (master's and doctorate). He studied the violin with masters such as Jean Fournier, Michèle Auclair, Régis Pasquier, Tibor Varga and Yehudi Menuhin. He also trained in musical writing, orchestral conducting and musicology.
From Baroque to contemporary music, he passionately champions the most charismatic of all virtuosos, Niccolò Paganini, to whom he devoted the album "Il Cannone", in homage to the legendary violin of the Italian master. Music director and soloist of the string orchestra "Les Violons de France", he has shaped a repertoire where virtuosity holds a central place. He is also devoted to chamber music, within Duo Kallisté and as first violin of the Gaïa Quartet (Seoul), alongside partners such as Nicholas Angelich, Maxim Fedotov, Ilya Rashkovskiy, Eunju Park and Patrick Zygmanowski. A recognised teacher, he has taught at the prestigious Yonsei University in Seoul and gives masterclasses around the world.
